- Log and Device Information: We collect standard log files and device information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, unique device identifiers, pages visited, and access timestamps.
- Usage Analytics: We analyze how users interact with our services, collecting data on features used, pages visited, time spent, and other clickstream data to improve our platform’s functionality and performance.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies for essential functions such as keeping you logged in, as well as for performance analytics. We may use tools like Google Analytics, configured to anonymize IP addresses. You have control over non-essential cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Section 2: How We Use Your Personal Data
We are committed to the principle of purpose limitation, meaning we only use your personal data for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes. The data collected in Section 1 is used to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
- Personalize your experience on the platform.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Communicate with you about your account, submissions, and earnings.
- Provide, ship, or schedule pickup of recording devices.
- Conduct analytics and service improvement.
- Ensure security and prevent fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Section 3: Legal Basis for Processing
Every processing activity we undertake is grounded in a valid legal basis as required by applicable law:
- Performance of a Contract: Processing necessary to provide our services to you, including managing your operator account and processing earnings.
- Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as improving our platform and preventing fraud, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent, such as for promotional SMS messages or non-essential cookies.
- Legal Obligation: Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Part II: Collection and Use of Robotics Training Data
Section 4: Egocentric Demonstration Data — Collection and Anonymization
This section details the core of Intuition’s operator program: the collection of real-world work-task data for robotics training. Our entire process is built upon a foundational commitment to Anonymization-by-Design, ensuring that raw, identifiable personal data is never stored or retained in our central systems.
4.1 The Nature of Captured Data
Our data collection is conducted by Operators who have enrolled in our recording program and received an Intuition recording device (devices may be picked up at designated locations or shipped; availability varies by region). Operators perform a range of everyday work tasks — in heavy industry such as construction, mining, and manufacturing, and in general physical work such as kitchens, cleaning, warehouses, retail, agriculture, automotive work, and home tasks — while wearing a small, simple recording device provided by Intuition (or an approved equivalent). These devices capture a multi-modal data stream from the operator’s first-person perspective, which may include:
- RGB video from the operator’s point of view.
- Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data tracking movement and orientation.
- Hand and body position data as captured by the device.
4.2 Anonymization-by-Design
The cornerstone of our privacy compliance strategy is our robust anonymization pipeline that processes data before it enters our cloud infrastructure. This approach embodies the principles of Data Protection by Design and Data Minimization, preventing raw personal data from ever being retained in our central systems.
This pipeline utilizes machine learning models to perform irreversible transformations, including automated face blurring, identifier obfuscation, and removal of other potentially identifying visual information captured incidentally during recording — including faces of bystanders and co-workers captured at worksites.
4.3 Legal Status of Anonymized Data
The distinction between anonymized data and personal data is legally significant. Our process is designed to achieve true anonymization, placing the resulting datasets outside the scope of personal data protection laws. Anonymized datasets are the commercial product Intuition creates, distributes, and licenses — they do not constitute personal data under applicable law.
Section 5: Use and Distribution of Anonymized Datasets
The purpose of creating these anonymized datasets is to accelerate innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. Recorded data is used to train AI and robotics models that improve end-user experiences across household and industrial settings. We operate a tiered distribution model:
- Community and Open-Source Contributions: Certain anonymized datasets are made available to the research community under open licenses to advance the broader field of real-world robotics.
- Commercial Subscriptions: Organizations can subscribe to access curated, high-quality anonymized datasets through our platform API for use in commercial AI and robotics development.
- Worksite Insights: For industrial programs, we may provide participating worksites with safety, process-efficiency, and analytics insights derived from anonymized recordings. These insights are aggregated and do not identify individual operators.
Part III: Data Protection, Retention, and Transfers
Section 6: Data Security and Retention
We take the security of all data under our control seriously. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:
- Encryption: Personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
- Access Control: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only, on a need-to-know basis.
- Secure Infrastructure: Our services are hosted on reputable cloud infrastructure providers with strong security certifications.
- Regular Audits and Monitoring: We conduct periodic security reviews and monitor our systems for unusual activity.
- Employee Training: Personnel with access to personal data receive appropriate privacy and security training.
Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to provide our services or comply with legal obligations. Anonymized robotics data may be retained indefinitely for research and commercial purposes, as it is not subject to personal data retention limits. Account data is deleted within a reasonable period following account closure upon request.
Section 7: International Data Transfers
Intuition operates internationally, including in the United States, the European Union, Latin America, and Greater China. Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where Intuition, its affiliates, or its service providers operate.
We ensure that all such transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data, such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required. Where local law in your region requires additional protections or disclosures, a regional supplement to this Privacy Policy will apply.
Part IV: Your Rights and Our Commitments
Section 8: Your Data Protection Rights
We are committed to ensuring you can exercise your rights over your personal data. Depending on your location and applicable law (including, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you may have the following rights:

- Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
